The following pictures from my own and other artist's portfolios are Definitely

photos out of the ordinary, please send them to me and I will post them.
Belle
Isle, Michigan
BELLE ISLE, SITUATED ON THE DETROIT RIVER, IS WELL KNOWN as a colorful summer
picnic area for the local city residents. "Personally, I’ve always
preferred the place in the middle of winter when it’s cold, empty, and a bit
desolate. One early February morning as I was photographing there, I came around
a corner and was startled by this impressive ice “sculpture.” Who created
it? I wondered. Why was it there? The sky was dark gray and brooding, but
occasionally a few sun rays would creep through and exquisitely illuminate this
oddity. I lay on
the ground to get the right perspective, and waited for the light. From that
vantage point I saw a towering sea creature, threatening and surrealistic. The
light came and went quickly. I managed only a few exposures before my fingers
started to freeze and snow got in the camera."
"Returning a few months later, I found that my beautiful
sea creature had been created by a water fountain gone awry. I now go
back to Belle Isle every winter in hopes that some- body will again leave the
faucet on. We could all use a little extra magic.".......... MICHAEL KENNA
